Take a trip down memory lane and bask in the nostalgia of the 90’s!
First, experience the opening of a time capsule featuring the Phoenicia Playhouse in 1994 as the setting for a whimsical event, which was taken very seriously by the local community: the Dog Wedding of “Cody + Daisy.” David Pillard (Cody’s human) will introduce the exciting world premiere of this short film (digitized from VHS). The audience is welcome to share their responses after the 15-minute screening before we “switch the reels.”
After the break, travel back in time with the classic adventure comedy, Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey. Featuring the talents of voice actors Michael J. Fox (Chance), Don Ameche (Shadow - Ameche’s last film credit) and Sally Field (Sassy), this live-action feature film - shot mostly in Oregon and the Sierra Nevada Mountains - is a heartwarming and exciting story the whole family will enjoy.
Summary of Homeward Bound:
Before the Seavers leave for a family vacation to San Francisco, they drop off their pets — Chance, an adventurous American bulldog; Shadow, a wise golden retriever; and Sassy, a cautious cat — at a friend’s ranch. But when the animals start to worry that they’ve been left for good, the three embark together on a treacherous and thrilling journey to find their way back home through the California wilderness.
