This documentary by filmmaker, Hilary Leitner,  is an intimate portrait that captures the essence of Nick Della Penna, the 82 year old artist and creative force behind the Rock Star Meadow located in Woodstock, NY.  Working consistently for over 35 years, with the support of his wife Lorraine, Nick and his collaborating partner Estelle Ross poured their hearts and soul into this magical stone phenomenon that arose out of hurt, anger and the desire to smack back at all of life’s horrors and perceived snubs and judgements. For the first time, Nick is willing to bring others into his world of “make-believe”. Stone after stone, this documentary reveals the complexity that drives Nick to work on his art every single day without need of public affirmation or accolades. Rock Star Meadow is a cathartic artistic manifestation, catapulted by anger transformed into love.
