Closest of friends in their salad days, actors Vera Coyle and Hope Diamond have been estranged for half a century. In her deathbed fever dream, Vera conjures up the recently deceased Hope to find closure and make a peaceful transition. Along the way, Hope encounters Edwin Booth and Helen Hayes who tantalize her with the possibility of a vibrant afterlife.
