Phoenicia Playhouse is auditioning for all roles for 

They’re Playing Our Song

AUDITIONS: Monday May 6th & Wednesday May 8th at 6pm

The show opens July 5th and runs for three weekends.

Directed by award-winning director/choreographer Ovi Vargas making his debut at Phoenicia Playhouse. A graduate of the Boston Conservatory of Music and a veteran of over 300 shows on Broadway, Off-Broadway, National Tours, Regional Theatre, Summer Stock as well as Television and Film.

Nominated for Tony Awards for Best Musical and Best Book, this hilarious romantic comedy explores the ups and downs of the professional and personal relationship of songwriters Vernon and Sonia.

With a script by three-time Tony Award winner Neil Simon and a score by Academy Award winners Marvin Hamlisch and Academy Award winner Carole Bayer Sager, the show lovingly pokes fun of the relationships between couples who work together. Inspired by the real-life relationship of Marvin Hamlisch and Carole Bayer Sager the musical Features the songs: Fallin, If He Really Knew Me, They're Playing Our Song, Just For Tonight, When You're In My Arms and I Still Believe in Love.

Seeking strong singer-actors:

Sonia Walsk - (25-35ish) Mezzo-Soprano
Quirky, off-beat, a tad neurotic, disorganized and distracted.

Vernon Gersch - (30- 45ish) Baritone
Glib, aloof and focused, A calm facade that hides his insecurities.
