Catherine Butterfield was a recipient of the George E. Oppenheimer/New York Newsday Award for Best First Play in the New York area (Joined at the Head), the Kennedy Center-American Express award for Outstanding Promise as a Playwright, the Kaufman & Hart Award for Best New American Comedy (The Sleeper), and the Davie Award for Best New Play in Regional Theatre (Life in the Trees).  Joined at the Head, in which she also acted at the Manhattan Theatre Club, was nominated for a Drama Desk award and an Obie and has been extensively produced in this country and abroad.  She received a commission from the Laguna Playhouse to both write and direct BrownstoneJoined at the Head was included in the Smith and Krause “Best Plays of 1992.” Butterfield’s plays are published by Dramatists Play Service, Samuel French, Andak Publications and Playscripts, Inc. Produced full length plays include ife Expectancy, It Has To Be You, Brownstone, The Sleeper, Joined at the Head, Where the Truth Lies, Snowing at Delphi, and Life in the Trees. Life Expectancyjust completed a run at the Malibu Playhouse. It Has To Be You enjoyed a sold out run Off Broadway in 2014 at the Abingdon Theatre. 

Dan McGeehan is an award-winning actor, director, playwright, and illustrator. While his primary training is as a visual artist—with work regularly appearing in national and international publications, advertisements, and children’s books— Dan also studied acting at Philadelphia’s Arden Theatre and has over 100 productions to his credit in regional theaters across the country. He also is the author of a number of children’s shows and short plays. His multi-award-winning play A Long Trip is one of the most performed and most honored short scripts in the nation. It now appears in the annual anthology “The Best American Short Plays” published by Applause Books.

David Smilow is an Ulster County-based writer and actor.  A longtime member of Actors & Writers, a readers’ theater company also based in Ulster County, he has appeared in countless staged readings over twenty-five-plus years, directed, and contributed original material as a playwright. David’s professional writing career began in 1975.  Over the intervening – and swiftly accumulating – years, he has written for film, stage and television.  His TV work – specifically in daytime drama, where he served as a staff writer on One Life to Live, Guiding Light and As the World Turns - has garnered two Emmys and three Writers Guild Awards, while his short plays have received productions literally across the globe.  His most recent writing project, a new play titled What You’ve Brought, had its staged reading premier at Unison in New Paltz this past autumn.  As a performer, David’s appeared in numerous regional productions: Dog Stories at the late Stageworks Hudson, Good People with Performing Arts of Woodstock, Ladies Man and Bill W. and Dr. Bob at Shadowland Theatre, and The Tavern at Bridge Street Theatre, among others.  New York City acting work has included television and film work, as well as stage productions ranging from Don DeLillo’s Valparaiso to Arthur Miller’s The Price and Paul Zimet’s Marcellus Shale.
